Everyone loves pizza, but how did it get started? How is it made? What is authentic, Neapolitan Pizza anyway?
As an appreciation and to return our regards for the warm welcome to the island, we held an invitation event to introduce knowledge of the real and authentic Neapolitan Pizza, which has been registered and protected by UNESCO as a live world heritage brought to the beloved Kangaroo Island local islanders.
Our Master Pizza Chef introduced from scratch and destructed every step and ingredients of it, yes it is as extremely simple as gluten, tomato and cheese getting baked in an oven. However, making simple food, it may be considered as it is easy but it surely is not, it is the hardest thing to execute because we have to pay attention to every single littlest details. There is nothing masking what we’re doing to perfect it.
Temperature of the oven and the time of the baking is crucial, yet to begin with what kind of flour and blends of flour to use, the fermentation of the process then how to handle the delicate dough, is the heart of the Neapolitan pizza, and it is all about the dough. Accompany the queen, there are countless choices of tomatoes and quality of cheeses to choose from, and taste the difference of each from raw, and feel the result differentiates in between and combination.
The simpler it is, the deeper it gets! That’s why it is so beautiful, fascinating, what we have our passion for, and so thrilled to share!
Imagine a thin crispy pizza with airy fluffy edges that doesn’t weigh your stomach down, tangy sweet tomato with stringy light yet rich mozzarella, and have a relief with fresh and aromatic basil. That is Margherita, so simple and so complete!
